Miyoo Mini Plus vs Anbernic RG35XX

Feb 10, 2023

The RG35XX and the Miyoo Mini Plus are very similar retro handheld consoles with both of them being brilliant options. But which one should you buy?

Some of the similarities and differences

Similarities:

  • 3. Both devices use a similar control scheme, with a D-pad, four face buttons, and two shoulder buttons.

Support the Anbernic RG35XX:

Hands down, the Anbernic RG35XX far surpasses all else on the market. And with the Garlic OS installed, the sky is the limit!

The Anbernic is definitely the one for me. Next significant purchase I will make. It looks absolute quality.

I totally love my Miyoo Mini, but it's very hard for me to recommend it to my friends when the RG35XX is so similar, has better build quality and, more importantly, is much easier to buy. Even though OnionOS is better and more mature, I think GarlicOS is not very far behind. If only Miyoo would solve their supply issues, the Mini would easily be the winner here, unfortunately that's not the case at the moment.

Support the Miyoo Mini Plus:

GarlicOS is not as good as OnionOS for a start. Secondly there are loads of handhelds already on the market with custom FW at the size of the Anbernic. The reason why the Miyoo is so popular and its main selling points is the size and OnionOS.

As I own both I can already say that the Mini+ is better than the rg35xx from my point of view. Better esthetically, better battery, better battery autonomy and better size.

I feel it's much more premium device than rg35xx. Miyoo has more weight to it and doesn't rattle while shaking too.

I think the mini+ will be the ultimate winner for me if I'm being honest because of onion os and the size :)

The miyoo has a far better custom OS.
